Kdevelop documentation links are useful for the v4 of the software and not kdvelop 5, so I've been having some trouble in running and executing what I'm writing - yet it fits the whole desktop UI. On the other hand, Qt Creator hasn't given me any head aches but doesn't fit anything on the plasma desktop - but builds and runs the program just fine. It may not always be sufficient to just compare Visual Studio IDE and Qt Creator IDE with one another. While useful functionalities, pricing plans and customer reviews are all important and should be taken into account when making a final decision, you should also pay attention to the recognition and awards merited by each product. QTCreator: Has all the tools you need to develop QT. I am guessing it doesn't have much support outside of official QT stuff though, so I am not sure if I can use it to work with other toolkits or languages with unofficial QT bindings. KDevelop doesn't make me manually re-run CMake after modifying CMakeLists.txt, and even has some support for automatically adding new source files to CMakeLists.txt. My favorite IDE for Qt doesn't exist yet. Qt Creator may be my favorite IDE (not just for Qt) I just downloaded the Qt Creator IDE and so far I think its great. I have been using KDevelop for quite some time, but it seems that Qt Creator has it beat in a few areas.
